Flowers with blue bridesmaid dresses at an outdoor summer country (but not too country) wedding?

We are having an outdoor ceremony at a little country Bed and Breakfast this summer, and I want to find some flowers that are not too formal, but not too country (a.k.a. wildflowers). I love wildflowers, but I want this to be just a notch above being that country and simple. It is my wedding, after all! :)





I love daisies, roses, sweet pea (that's what my mom has always called me), sunflowers, ranunculus, gerbera daisies, and mini calla lilies. I was just going to go with white flowers because the contrast with the blue dresses would be pretty. The color also has to look okay with the red roof on the B%26amp;B (but no red flowers please, just colors that would look okay and not clash with the red roof since we are thinking about having the ceremony leading up the steps of the house.)





Any ideas will be greatly appreciated. Pictures EVEN BETTER!!! :)

Here are some tips on country styling that might help. There are also wedding flowers galleries for bouquet and decoration ideas on the site.





Country styling can be casual, think of flowers just picked from the garden - beautifully soft subtle colours and fragrance. Imagine masses of old-fashioned pink and white garden roses, combined with peonies - pretty feminine and romantic.





Don’t forget foliage too - the reason cottage gardens look so right is that they have plenty of green between the flowers. Variegated ivy trails and umbrella fern would be delicate enough to suit the theme and add a welcome relaxing note of green. The elegantly weeping tails of green hanging amaranthus, or love lies bleeding, looks remarkably right when used in relaxed arrangements. Molucella (bells of Ireland) with a faint lovely rice-pudding scent also adds a cool touch of green". Adding herbs to your wedding flowers also add interesting texture as well as fragrance and a country garden appeal. Tuck a rosemary or lavender sprig into your napkins as well as including in the wedding flowers to carry the theme through.








Try tone on tone - use different shades from the same colour range to add extra depth and interest to your arrangements try Hydrangeas, Delphinium and Lavender together Hydrangeas look lovely and you can get these as pot plants or as cut flowers; they come in blues, whites, pinks and pale green and their huge flower heads have real impact."
