In 1966 there was a song called "Sweet Pea" by Tommy Roe. There is an old black and white video with him singing it and he has a bunch of kids around him. I believe the show was a children's program but I am not sure. Does anybody know who the little girl was that Tommy Roe was singing to? She looks very familiar, maybe an actress now. The video itself is on the "YouTube" website under the name "Sweet Pea". Alot of people have wondered(including myself)if the little girl is his daughter or not. Thank you for any help here from Yahoo members!

just from observation by watching on youtube, I would say it is his daughter that he's singing to. especially since she seems so familiar with him and knows all the lyrics too.

She was a family friend. Her name is Darlene and she was 14 years old at the time.

DeleteI have been trying to find out who the girl was also.i thought it was his daughter to but havent been able to find out who she was.but do know she isent his daughter. Other than that I have no idea.

DeleteShe was at the beach with her sister and was told Tommy Roe was going to record "Oh Sweet Pea" and they wanted a bunch of girls to be in the video. She said her sister said lets go and be in the video. She had no idea she was zeroed in on during the recording of the video, and was in her 50's before some one told her they saw the video on YouTube and she was the primary subject. She was shocked at the news.
