Expert gardeners .. please help.. Sweet peas without adequate support...?

i planted some sweet peas a few weeks ago next to a support about 4 feet tall.. but now the sweet pea plants have already reached the height of 4 feet and keep growing.. they will soon have no support and im scared they may not flower without adequate support. will my plants die will i have flowers this year.. expert gardeners .. please help..

You can let sweet peas trail or support them on a trellis, but they're not dependent on being supported to flower. You could let them "weep" down from the top of the trellis or weave them into the trellis going downward, once they've topped out.





(Wow, what zone are you that your sweet peas are already that high?!)





I envy you - mine are a scant 6" high, and I was pleased at that much progress this early in the season! :-)
