Can I use Bath and Body works shower gel as shampoo?

I have a sweet pea shower gel and I'm out of my sweet pea shampoo, can I use shower gel as shampoo for now? Like does it damage my hair?

it will dry your hair out for sure. their aromatherapy line does make a shampoo and conditioner. i have the jasmine vanilla conditioner that i used every day, and its wonderful. and makes my hair smell yummy!
Reply:I have the sweet pea shower gel and it smells really good. But I would NEVER use it as a shampoo. Your hair is gonna be sooo hard to comb and feel sooo dry. Even if you rinse it really well.
Reply:It will most likely dry your hair out tons...
Reply:Bath %26amp; Body Works products may smell very very good but if you just use the shower gel on your hair it will probably come out really dry and hard to comb/brush. You should use a real shampoo and still probably not Bath %26amp; Body Works ones.
Reply:eh, i wouldn't. i wouldn't use their shampoo either. i had that sweet pea shampoo and it came in the cutest bottle ever! but it didn't really help my hair
Reply:eww do not! it will come out all greasy and gross, dont do it unless you want your hair to come out nasty.
Reply:no, please dont do that... its gonna do so much damage to your hair in the end... it will most likely dry it out really bad....
Reply:it wont damage it but u might want to use shampoo for your hairtype then the shower gel

Good Luck!
Reply:no no no! bath and body products smell fantastic but are very low quality. any worthwhile facilaist or dermotologist can tell you that. i would be thoughtful of using the products at all (especially the lotions in the bottle, not the matte tube). Even quality bodywash will wreck havock on your hair. if you are in a pinch, apple cider vinegar will get all the buildup in your hair out and make it super shiny - but make sure to rinse really well!
