What are some nicknames that you call your fat and cute baby?

My baby is chubby bunny, snookie, cutie patutie, sweet pea. She's also princess, beautiful, pretty girl... sometimes I call her by her name.

My son was obese (yes obese) as a baby and we called him fappy - fat and happy, even before he was born. He went on to be chunky monkey, the fat man or TFM, sometimes chunka.

As they get older, we cut out the fat jokes... but they're so cute when they're chubby and have rolls.

What are some nicknames that you call your fat and cute baby?
Chubette, Pudgy Fudgy, Tootsie Roll, Peanut Butter sandwich, my Jelly Beans, Buddha Butt, big Sack of Potatoes. Is that enough? ( I had lots of kids)
Reply:it is not good to have a fat baby , don't feed him to much.
Reply:That's sweet, I use to call mine rollie-pollie, I love when they would grab their feet and start rolling around. Which is where I got rollie-pollie.

Peace.

Reply:My babies were on the slim side, but they, too, were adorable. My nephew was a roly-poly kind of baby, and also a sweetie pie. It never occurred to me to really focus on whether babies were round or little, narrow, mini's.

Your little sweetie obviously won't be scarred for life if you call her names that involve what a fatty she is before she's old enough to realize, but why do it? I dont know..... its just kind of nicer to call her "princess" and "pretty girl" and by her name. Whether its her or when your son was a baby, of course they're adorable and beautiful; but even if you found they had adorable curls, it just seems to me nicer not to focus on their physical traits. I guess I figure it doesn't hurt to not get in such a habit as a parent because no matter how adorable they are as a result of some physical trait there's just a hint of lack of respect for the baby that may not be a big deal and yet that doesn't quite sit well with me. (Of course, what do you care what about what doesn't sit well with a stranger. Its just that you asked, so I've answered.)

I pretty much used a cutesy or slightly altered version of my children's names (it was my way of having my own thing to call them that was separate from what other people called them) or else their real name or else "Sweetheart". I feel, however, that I should divulge that I was occasionally guilty of "DollyBoy" for my sons. :) Then I discovered that my sister was also using "DollyBoy" for her son. It must run in my family.

Enjoy your little sweetie.

Reply:no matter how cute you may think it is--- it's not for your children someday they will ask you alot of question on why you felt you had to put them down like that.
Reply:I was also quite plump as a baby. My dad called my fatty, fitz, fatay, etc. Unfortunately the nickname stuck while I grew up. However, he did tone it down to just Fitz after I went through anorexia and was hospitalized.
