For sweet peas.the pods that fall,do I collect them and plant them next year or do I let them plant themselves

do i wait til the pods are brown before i pick them or what to do period.

I like to wait till they turn brown a pick them sometimes they aren't any good because the are covered with mildew. They will re seed but I just pick them for the next year I have been doing it for about 3 years now
Reply:Keep the brown pods in a brown bag, if you put them in plastic they will go rotten. The air gets to them in a paper bag
